Getting there

By Air

Carriacou has its own small airport named Lauriston, also known as Carriacou Island Airport (CRU). Major airlines fly into Grenada and a charter flight with SVG Air is necessary to arrive in Carriacou (or by boat, see below). Because of this, Carriacou is closed to mass tourism, leaving the island to the “happy few”.

From Maurice Bishop International Airport (GND) in Grenada, SVG Air currently offers twice daily flights on Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays to Carriacou Lauriston Airport. Depending on your arrival time it might be possible to book a scheduled SVG Air flight on the same day. *Please check the SVG Air website for actual departure times.

If want to continue immediately to Carriacou as soon as your international flight lands, preventing a long layover or a potential one-night say in Grenada, you can book a private charter flight with SVG Air.

Currently, it departs to and from Carriacou twice daily on Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays from St George’s at 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM and arrives in Hillsborough, Carriacou around 11:00 AM or 8:00 PM respectively. The return from Carriacou is at 6:00 AM or 3:30 PM and arrives in St George’s around 8:00 AM or 5:30 PM respectively.
