Anse La Roche

Anse La Roche

Anse La Roche is a beautiful secluded bay near the North-West edge of Carriacou (just North of La Pagerie). You won’t likely find a large crowd but there may be a few touring sailboats/catamarans anchored in the bay at lunch or dinner. In addition to beautiful sand and sea, Anse La Roche has a volleyball net ready to go and great snorkeling near the rock formation at the Southern end of the bay. Accessible only by boat taxi, kayak, or a short forest hike. The entrance to the trail is just steps away from the villa.

Paradise Beach

Paradise Beach

Paradise Beach is a long and beautiful stretch of sand located South-West of the town of Hillsborough. The beach is edged in by local residences, a couple smaller ‘hotels’, and a few local restaurants/beach bars. Be sure to check out the Paradise Beach Club for a relaxed vibe, delicious drinks and mouth-watering meals. Approximately a 20min drive South from La Pagerie.

Sandy Island

Sandy Island

Sandy Island is a thin sand-bar of the West coast of Carriacou (facing Paradise Beach). About 250m (800ft) long and only about 30m (100ft) wide, the entire island is wrapped in soft sand. There are no permanent structures on the island (except maybe a small fire pit) and there are plenty of wispy palm trees offering shade. It is a truly idyllic place to spend an afternoon. Sandly Island also features the best snorkeling in the area – just swim out over the beautiful coral off the island’s East edge. Accessible by boat taxi – the cost is only ECD $20/person if you eat/drink at Paradise Beach Club.

Petit Carenage

Petit Carenage

Petit Carenage is located North of the town of Windward and is home to the island’s bird and turtle sanctuary! (The best time of year to spot turtles is during their nesting season in early June). Petit Carenage also features an incredible view of the mountainous Union Island (St. Vincent). An abandoned ship sitting off the waters edge also makes for a unique photo-opp. Overall, a great place to tour and search for wildlife. Approximately a 15 min drive East across the Island from La Pagerie.
