Carriacou has its own small airport named Lauriston, also known as Carriacou Island Airport (CRU). Major airlines fly into Grenada and a 20-minute island-hopper flight with SVG Air* is necessary to arrive in Carriacou (or by boat, see below). Because of this, Carriacou is closed to mass tourism, leaving the island to the “happy few”.

There are currently twice daily flights every Monday, Tuesday, Friday-Sunday between the Carriacou Lauriston Airport and Maurice Bishop International Airport (GND) in Grenada. Depending on your arrival time it might be possible to book a scheduled flight on the same day.

If want to continue immediately to Carriacou as soon as your international flight lands, preventing a long layover or a potential one-night say in Grenada, you can alternatively book a private charter flight with SVG Air. There are three maritime services to the Tyrell Bay Marina in Carriacou available from St George’s, the capital city of Grenada.

Osprey Lines
A 90-minute ferry ride between Grenada and Carriacou every Monday, Wednesday & Friday. It departs twice daily at 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM from Grenada and 6:00 AM or 3:30 PM from Carriacou.

Tyrell Bay Express
A 3-hour ferry ride between Grenada and Carriacou every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Departure times are 5:00 AM from Carriacou and 5:00 PM from Grenada.
